Online Auction Terms and Conditions

This is our first attempt at an online auction. Please be patient with us as we work through any problems which might arise.

Registration: Bidders must register before bidding. After registering, when you bid, you will be asked your name. Please use a name you don’t mind being public, e.g., your first name, initials, or nickname.

Max Bid: You can make a “Proxy” or “Max” bid, where you can enter a higher amount than the current bid to beat other bidders, but not have that higher amount be activated until someone else bids against it.

Bidding: Once you place your bid you will not be able to edit or retract it. DO NOT BID AGAIN if you are winning; otherwise, you will outbid yourself. Emails will notify you of being outbid or refresh bid history (Bids). In case of last minute bidding, you must refresh often.

Time Extension:To accommodate last minute bidding and reaction time, auction end will be automatically extended 1 minute if bidding takes place during the last minute. We recommend placing your Max Bid ahead of time to prevent being outbid at the last minute.

Payment: Must be completed on the next day by 6:00 pm. Due to a glitch in this program, Paypal is not properly automated to receive payment at the end of the auction. We hope to fix it soon. In the meantime, payment must be made by coming to the shop, paying by credit card over the phone, or making special Paypal payment.

Wining bidders, item pickup: Items purchased must be picked up the end of the 3rd business day. If you do not pick up your item within 3 days, you will be charged a storage fee of prorated 10% of the original asking price (not purchase price) of the item for the next 30 days. If you still do not pick it up during this additional 30 day period, the item will revert back to the shop.

Bidding is a legally binding contract: When you place a bid, you enter into a legally binding contract to purchase the item if you are the winning bidder. By bidding, you agree that you have read and agree to our Auction Terms & Conditions stated in the website and registration form.

All purchases are final: All items purchased during the auction are final sales and are not eligible for a refund. Please inspect your desired items carefully ahead of time. Feel free to contact us if you need more information about any particular item.

California sales tax: CA sales tax will be added at 7.25%.

Buyer’s fee: It is standard in the auction industry for buyers to pay a auction fee for items purchased. We charge a low rate of 5% for cash, 7.5% for credit card or paypal.

Removal of items from auction: Seller reserves right to add or remove any items from the auction at any time as long as there have been no bids. Seller reserves the right to end an auction, extend an auction,or cancel individual bids if fraud is suspected or if an error in system arises. If the winning bidder does not complete the purchase by the deadline, he/she will be banned from future auctions. In that event, Seller reserves the right to sell the item to the runner-up bidder, re-list item, or remove item from auction.
